As-salamu alaykum! Welcome to Household Budget Planner, an independent platform dedicated to helping Pakistani families manage their monthly expenses. We are a small team of regular people from Pakistan who understand the challenges of rising prices and household budgeting.
Our goal is simple: provide clear, data-backed financial tools to help families navigate rising inflation and market price changes in Pakistan. We want to make budgeting easier so you can spend less time worrying about money and more time with your family.

Meet Muhammad Zeeshan
My name is Muhammad Zeeshan and I'm from Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I started this project because I saw how hard it was for families in my neighborhood to plan their monthly shopping, especially before Ramadan.
I've been tracking market trends and retail prices across major Pakistani cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar for over 8 years. I visit markets regularly, talk to shopkeepers, and keep notes on how prices change with the seasons. Over time, I realized that many families struggle to plan their monthly shopping effectively. They either overspend or end up buying things at the wrong time.
So I decided to create a tool that simplifies the way families calculate their grocery needs using actual market data. I gathered some friends who could help with numbers and technology, and we built this calculator. It started as something for our own families. Now we share it with you.

What We Provide
Our website offers three main things to help Pakistani families:
- 📊 Dynamic Budgeting Tools: Interactive calculators that adjust for family size and regional pricing. You can change prices to match your local market, and the tool automatically calculates your estimated monthly expenses.
- 📈 Market Research: Regular updates on staple item prices based on official data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and our own market surveys in major cities.
- 💰 Savings Guides: Practical tips on bulk purchasing, wholesale market shopping, and household management to help you save money.
All of these tools are free to use. We don't ask for your CNIC, phone number, or bank details. Just use the tool and get your estimate.

Where Our Numbers Come From
We don't guess our prices. We use real data from reliable sources:
- Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS): We use the Weekly Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) published by the government. This gives us official data on price trends across Pakistan. You can visit pbs.gov.pk to see the data yourself.
- Local Market Surveys: Muhammad Zeeshan and our team members visit markets in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar to check actual retail prices. We talk to shopkeepers and note what people actually pay.
- User Feedback: When people tell us prices are different in their area, we update our numbers. Your feedback helps us stay accurate.
We update our prices monthly and more frequently before Ramadan when prices change quickly.

- We test on ourselves: We use the same calculator for our own families. If it works for us, it works for you.

- We don't ask for personal info: No CNIC, no phone number, no registration. Just use the tool.
- It's completely free: We don't plan to charge anyone. This is something we made for our families and yours.

What's Next?
We're always trying to make things better. Here's what we're working on:
- More cities: We currently have KPK, Punjab, and Sindh. We want to add more cities like Quetta, Multan, and Faisalabad.
- More frequent updates: We want to update prices weekly, especially before Ramadan.
- Meat calculator: Many people ask for this. We're working on adding meat and chicken estimates.
- Mobile improvements: We want the website to work even better on phones.
